SCHOOL START AND DISMISSAL CHANGES STARTING FALL 2018
After months of research and discussion by the Academic Committee the Board voted to start and dismiss school 12 minutes later starting this school year. First bell for the high school (students report to homeroom) will be 7:47, homeroom/BUG period will start at 7:52 and end at 8:36, first period will begin at 8:40 and student dismissal will be at 2:58. Changes in Bus schedules will be included in the District Newsletter. High school students will be permitted to report no earlier than 7:30 for school. 

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB SUMMER PROGRAM
"Looking for something to do this summer? Check out the Boys & Girls Club summer program between June 12 and July 26. All members receive free admission to the Homer City Community Pool each day of the program along with daily activities. Open the B&G Application attached at the bottom of this page.

PA CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM (CHIP) ATTACHED BELOW
An informational flier regarding acquiring health coverage (CHIP) for children without coverage is attached at the bottom of this page. The flier includes coverage provided and contact information to apply and to learn more.

FREE & REDUCED MEALS APPLICATION
Families applying for the Free & Reduced Meals Program need to apply online. For more information on applying online select the Free & Reduced App option from our sidebar menu.  Any questions regarding the Free & Reduced Meal Program or questions about the Homer-Center Food Service Program should be directed to Mrs. Susan McLoughlin,-HC Food Services Director.

PARENT TIPS TO HELP IMPROVE STUDENT ATTENDANCE
Regular attendance has proven to help launch students into more success during high school and beyond.  We ask parents to partner with us to encourage regular attendance of our students and promote the importance of attendance as a simple and first step toward immediate and future success. Attached at the bottom of this page you will find two short informational fliers with quick facts and tips to encourage regular attendance. 

JOIN BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
The Evergreen Boys & Girls Club operates after school programs at Homer-Center High School every Monday-Thursday. The club provides snacks, homework assistance, high yield learning projects, social opportunities, physical activities and a bus ride home each day club operates. Joining the excitement is easy. Simply print the application and release authorization at the bottom of this page and return to the high school office, guidance office or the Boys & Girls Club room (Room 16) at the high school.  If you have questions or need more information contact Aaron Marshall, HC Unit Director at 724-479-8026 x 3016.
