Family and Consumer Sciences

Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) is a one-quarter course designated to educate students on matters of economics and management of the home and community. The lessons and activities presented are based on the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Family and Consumer Sciences that represent many disciplines that may include the following topics: consumer science, nutrition, food preparation, parenting, early childhood education, family economics and resource management, human development, interior design, textiles, apparel design, as well as other possible related topics.
