Child Development

Child Development is an elective course offered to students in grades 9-12.  Students will engage in learning of fetal development through various activities such as creating a fetal model out of clay.  They will also  study the physical, mental/emotion and social development of children ages 0-5.  The second portion of the class is devoted to Rainbow Room.  Rainbow Room is a pre-k program for children ages 3-5 who come to the classroom and engage in lessons taught by my Child Development students.  Rainbow Room is a great program that promotes learning in a real-life setting.
