Dear Parents,

 

My name is Jon Stolarz and I am the director of bands here at Homer-Center. I currently teach 5th - 12th grade band and kindergarten general music. I also teach a variety of extra curricular activities for our district including: Marching Band, Indoor Percussion, Indoor Color Guard, and Musical Orchestra. I am looking forward to working with you and your children this year as we continue to build our growing band program.

 

The Homer-Center Concert and Symphony Bands will have two concerts this year. Our winter concert will be held in December and our spring concert will take place in May. These concerts are a culmination of everything learned during band this year and for that reason ALL students are required to participate unless prior arrangements are made with Mr. Stolarz in extreme circumstances. Student's will also have the opportunity to participate in County Band, District Band, Region Band, State Band, and potentially NAfME All-East or All-Nationals. These events are not required, but all students are encouraged to participate.
