Spanish 1

 

Students taking Spanish 1 will be introduced to the language and culture of the Spanish speaking world. The Somos curriculum will be used which includes thematic units introducing the language through storytelling and comprehensible input. Students will also be exposed to authentic materials in Spanish that reinforce the grammar and vocabulary connected with each of the units. After taking this course students will be able to use the language at a novice level as outlined by the ACTFL standards.
